Salmofood and Mutual de Seguridad Host Seminar on Safety for Vessels in Food Loading and Unloading Operations at Docks and Farming Centers
At the end of July, Salmofood, in collaboration with Mutual de Seguridad, organized the “Safety Seminar for Vessels in Food Loading and Unloading Operations at Docks and Farming Centers,” held in Castro, Chiloé.
“At Salmofood, as a Vitapro brand, workplace safety is a core commitment. That’s why we promote the transfer of knowledge among our team and the industry. This event, led by maritime safety experts, was highly productive and allows us to strengthen and reinforce safe practices within our industry,” stated Salmofood’s official representatives.
The seminar featured participation from experts in maritime worksite safety, as well as attendance by local authorities.
In this regard, Maritime Prosecutor Commander Rodrigo Zambrano emphasized the importance of sharing best practices in the sector and learning from mistakes.
“Activities like these help identify gaps and opportunities to improve the safety of coastal shipping operations carried out by the aquaculture industry. Strengthening the dissemination of good practices and learning from past errors undoubtedly contributes to a common goal: to conduct maritime operations more efficiently and sustainably, with the lowest possible accident rate,” highlighted Maritime Prosecutor Commander Rodrigo Zambrano.
