DIETAS SALMOFOOD

SEA WATER

Our diets for fattening stage are formulated with raw materials of first selection and made under a strict quality control system.

Diets by Species

Salmofood strategies for salmon in the stage of fattening, are formulated with raw materials of the first selection and made under a strict system of quality control by professionals of the first line.

Salar

One of Salmofood’s most sold strategies, which demonstrates its productive success in the field every year.
Its formulation delivers the most competitive price and ensures that the diets contain the optimum amount of nutrients, energy and appropriate proteins to reach the maximum growth and with the lowest cost per kilogram of salmon produced.

The High Energy Explorador Strategy is specifically designed for Atlantic Salmon, for fish that in their growth are more demanding of energy, delivering in an efficient and concentrated way the energy necessary for high-performance fish.

The Extra Growth Strategy (XG) is designed specifically for Atlantic Salmon. Its formulation has an advance in genetic selection pressure and provides adequate nutritional support to populations with high growth potential, supporting such potential.

The Patagonia Strategy is designed to be used for Atlantic Salmon, in areas with low temperatures, less than 8ºC in winter (with less amplitude and thermal ranges in cultivation).

Trout

A strategy that uses various protein, lipid/energy sources to ensure economic sustainability and the contribution of essential fatty acids for this species in culture.

The Magallanes Strategy is designed to be used for Trout, in areas with low temperatures, less than 8ºC in winter (with less amplitude and thermal ranges in cultivation).

Coho

Strategy formulated with criteria of digestible nutrients, delivering an optimal protein/energy ratio and privileging protein intake.

The Quehui strategy combines a new relationship of lipids and proteins, achieving an optimum between protein intake and energy composition. This allows to achieve better conversion factors and a metabolic process that allows the fish to be more efficient in metabolic expenditure, achieving a better use of energy, which is destined in greater proportion to the growth objective.

The Quehui High Energy Strategy is designed according to the specific nutritional demands of the Coho Salmon species, accounting for the deposit of protein and lipid tissues in this species throughout its productive cycle in sea water.

Multi-species

Salmofood has developed a feeding strategy considering the nutritional model of the different species of salmonids, according to the energy and nutritional requirements of the fish.

SF

It satisfies the nutritional needs of Trucha, Coho, and Salar in each of the levels of development in the fattening stage. This feeding strategy is one of the most sold by Salmofood, demonstrating every year its productive success in the field.

SF AE

For fish that have a higher energy demand, there is the AE strategy, which delivers efficient and concentrated nutrients for high-performance salmonids.

SF+

This strategy retains the principles of SF, adding to its composition a greater proportion of protein ingredients of marine origin in the calibers of straight fattening (1000-up).

SF+ AE

For fish that have a higher energy demand, there is the AE strategy, which delivers efficient and concentrated nutrients for high-performance salmonids.

Other Species

In Salmofood we deliver customized solutions to the aquaculture industry, according to the requirements of each client. This is how in our portfolio of feeding strategies, we develop specific diets for other types of farmed fish.

SERIOLA

Seriola lalandi, palometa or yellowtail kingfish is a fish of high commercial value of meat and much appreciated, which is grown in countries such as Japan and Australia. It prefers temperate subtropical waters (18 to 24 ° C). In Chile, it is a species with high cultivation potential, mainly in controlled systems.

CHINOOK

The Chinook Salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) is the largest species of Pacific salmon or genus Oncorhynchus, reaching 100 cm and weighing 60 kilograms. It is highly valued in gourmet cuisine. Chile has optimal zones for its cultivation, the largest producer of the species is New Zealand and the commercial size of the species is approximately 5 kilos.

STURGEON

The Acipenser genus covers several species of sturgeon used for culture. The main product is caviar, a gourmet product of the highest value, but meat is also appreciated in Asian and Eastern European countries. Chile has waters with adequate temperatures for its development, so this species has high cultivation potential.

Functional Diets

Diets designed for salmonids that need a specific feeding strategy given the different environmental and pathological situations.

Functional Diet

FORTEC

A strategy designed for salmon that require a strong contribution of essential nutrients. It has a high content of digestible energy and fortification of limiting amino acids. It is used in centers that have irregular feeding processes where their greater nutritional density ensures adequate nutrition in conditions of low food delivery.

Functional Diet

CAREDTOX

The liver is the most important organ in the process of purification of toxins, Care-Dtox is a strategy designed for Phases I and II of hepatic detoxification in case of treatment with antibiotics or antiparasitic.

Functional Diet

ICTIUS

Functional Nutrition Strategy designed to prevent the effects of the icteric syndrome of the Coho salmon, attenuating the intensity of the pathological conditions and minimizing the effects caused by it.

Functional Diet

MELANOSIS

The accumulation of the pigment melanin in the tissues generates an unwanted impact on the final products in general, but with a greater visual impact on the fillets that result in lower yield or loss of quality that is also accompanied by an economic effect on the expected value of the product to be marketed.

Medicated Diets

Medium energy diets for fish that have a pathological condition and their metabolic capacity is affected, so their use contributes as a “nursing measure” necessary to not demand the physiological capacity of the fish that is suffering from a pathology.

SFM

Medicated foods are designed with conservative nutritional criteria that ensure the adequate supply of nutrients to fish at different stages of development. The “SFM” diets provide nutrients that widely satisfy the needs of fish that, according to their health status, require available nutrients in quantity and quality according to that condition.

SFM Emergencia

Products manufactured with florfenicol levels suitable to face typical pathological conditions in salmonids. The medication is incorporated into the oil added to the pellet, which ensures that the drug reaches the mouth of the fish. The inclusion of 65 ppm of Astaxanthin is also considered in its elaboration.
Its main feature is the IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY.
