At Vitapro Chile S.A., we are proud to announce that we have initiated the certification process under the ASC Feed standard for our fish feed plant located in Castro, Chiloé.
We will undergo an audit from August 5 to 9, 2024, which will be conducted by the certification body Control Union.
The ASC Feed certification will join the numerous recognitions already held by our feed plant, including:
Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP): ensures that farmed seafood products are produced safely and sustainably at every stage of the process.
Global G.A.P.: sets voluntary standards for the certification of agricultural products worldwide.
RTRS (Round Table on Responsible Soy Association): promotes the responsible production, trade, and use of soy through collaboration with key actors across the value chain.
Huella Chile: a national recognition for companies committed to sustainability, through voluntary audits of CO₂ emissions, within the framework of Chile’s Ministry of the Environment initiatives.
These certifications reflect Vitapro Chile’s spirit and commitment to the sustainable development of the aquaculture industry.
